There was a time when most homes came with a pantry. For some reason they fell out of favor, but not here at Sater Design Collection. With over 300 plans that feature a kitchen pantry, you could say we love pantries!
There is an old axiom, “you can never be too thin or too rich”. We’d like to add to that, “You can never be too thin, too rich, or have too much storage space”. There was a reason homes were traditionally built with kitchen pantries. Because families need lots of storage.
Stores like Costco, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and Sam’s Clubare great for buying items in bulk. You can save a bunch of money. As long as you have the space to store it. A kitchen pantry will allow you to save money. And you don’t need a huge walk-in pantry either, a small pantry can be a lifesaver.
The Aruba Bay home plan is a great example of a home with lots of storage space. This is a home designed to be on an island basement, which means you can drive under the home. Beyond giving you a 2 car garage under your home, which is ideal on a smaller lot, the island basement give you lots of storage space.
However, the kitchen is above that storage area. Fortunately the Aruba Bay has a large walk-in kitchen pantry too. This is just one of the features that makes this design ideal for a vacation home.
That is not to say you can’t have a walk-in kitchen pantry in a smaller, traditional home. The Auburn house plan is a smaller home that is packed with luxury features. With just 1446 square feet of living space, this 3 bedroom and 2 bath home has a utility room, 2 car garage and a large patio.
Most of our designs include a kitchen pantry. If your favorite design doesn’t have one let us know. Most of our plans can be changed to meet your needs.
