Wilshire

Our Wilshire home plan is a thoroughly modern courtyard house design for your enjoyment. Its low-pitched hip rooflines with flat concrete tiles and broad overhangs and stuccoed exterior with stone paneled accents make for a striking contemporary appearance. Upon entering through the large pivot glass door, one is greeted with a tropical oasis in its private courtyard. To the right is a detached Guest Suite or optional exercise room or studio. Beyond that is an outdoor Casita, complete with fireplace, outdoor kitchen and pool storage. The center piece is the courtyard. Perfect for a pool, fountain or landscaped garden. Straight back from the entry doors is the Dining Room with its dramatic cornerless stacking glass panels, giving those dining a sense of being outdoors.

The Dining Room is adjacent to the island Kitchen and Great Room, all which look out onto the Veranda and courtyard beyond. The Great Room has a large fireplace with built-ins on either side. The Kitchen features a double island with one used as a casual dining table or serving counter. It also has a large butler’s pantry with separate sink and dishwasher for entertaining. The Dining Room has a large wall length serving bar for convenience.

The Master wing is entered via double pocketing doors into a grand foyer, where the office/study is accessed to the left. It contains a large storage closet. To the right is the Master Suite. It has views of the courtyard. It has a large walk-in closet and a luxurious Master Bath with free-standing soaking tub and walk-in shower. The double sink vanity has a sit-down make-up desk and there is access to the courtyard through a French door. Just outside is a convenient outdoor shower.

Across from the Great Room is the stairway to the second floor, elevator, powder/pool bath and Utility Room. There is a Family Foyer that is entered from either the three-car garage or a French door by the entry. It has a counter for placing those purses, keys or just the mail and additional storage.

Upstairs are two Guest Suites, two baths, a common loft with a morning kitchen and a large Game Room for family entertainment. All with access to a covered balcony and trellised deck for courtyard viewing.
