Our plans do not include engineering for any specific site. Because of the great differences in geography and climate, each state, or municipality may have its own building regulations. Charming gables, twin dormers and lots of curb appeal add a touch of class to this single-story farmhouse delight. Beauty is found in the simple, classic design of Shelby. Gallery porches open the indoors to nature, and classic windows add plenty of views to country life. The open floor plan of the Shelby, combined with stepped ceilings, presents the overall living area as generous and inviting.

The home's spatial planning, combined with the use of stepped ceilings, give the illusion of a larger open concept living area. The kitchen of the Shelby plan includes a convenient eating bar and open access to the nook, formal dining and great rooms. The kitchen and nook are at the heart of the home. They bring the family together for home-style cooking and hearty conversation. There is a spacious corner walk in pantry and the breakfast nook can easily seat six.

The homeowners' retreat, a private master suite, is all decked out with a spectacular stepped ceiling. The large walk-in closet is the entrance to the master bathroom. A double sink vanity and a corner wall of glass bordering the Whirlpool bath with separate walk in shower complete the master suite.

Sleeping quarters of the Shelby are clustered across the left side of the plan, and are separated on the other side, from the master retreat. The two bedrooms are shared by a Jack and Jill bathroom.

Created with a traditional neighborhood design in mind, the Shelby plan features a side-entry double garage located at the front of the home. The utility room is large enough to include the washer and dryer as well as a wash tub and plenty of counter space for folding clothes. Cabinets can be used for storing detergents and other cleaning supplies. The Shelby plan has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has 1487 sq. ft. of living area. The house plan sits on a crawlspace foundation.
