The Altaira

July 30, 2017

Altaira a modern luxury home design

This ultra modern home plan was created to take advantage of panoramic water views afforded it from its placement on intersecting canals. Situated on a pie shaped “cul-de-sac” lot, this home design makes full use of every space.

With stucco and stone exterior accents, this striking home was also designed to be a “Net-Zero” home with flat deck roofs for solar panels and even a rooftop garden. The Altaira’s 5223 square feet of living area contains five distinct zones. On the main level is the great room, kitchen and dining in the first zone. On this same level is a study that doubles as a guest suite, which is accessed via a glass breezeway. There is a mid-level zone over the garage that contains two guest suites and a sitting loft. Each suite has a private bath and balcony. The second floor contains a master suite zone. The master features wrap around views, his/her closets and a utility room. The last zone features a studio/exercise room that can easily be converted into another guest suite.

The distinctive entry has a skylit, stainless steel cable suspended roof that cantilevers out from home. The home features corner-less sliding glass walls and floor to ceiling mitered glass throughout. The roof deck functions as a sundeck and living garden. A solar collector utilizes stainless steel cable railing.

All the levels of the home are accessed via a central wrap around staircase with an elevator equipped core. This also ascends to the rooftop terrace area.

The Altaira was designed to be constructed mainly of concrete and steel for long term sustainability. This home has too many features to list here. Please contact us about customizing this striking home or perhaps creating a design from scratch. Whatever your home design need, we are ready to help.

I think the placement of the pantry could become a stinky situation as a walk-thur to the pool bath/ toilet. The placement of half/baths is very important.

Would love to see more specific detail. What size is the footprint to fit on a property?

Love the plan. Only comment is about the sharp
angle in the Dinning Room Window. It could be made
less sharp.
Thanks
