SDC Builder of the Year – Mark Johnson Custom Homes

One look at Mark’s homes and it is easy to see why he is one of our all time favorite builders. His attention to detail and to preserving the original design integrity are clearly evident in the homes he creates. His attention to his clients is even more apparent, always enjoying a special relationship with them.

Mark recently built our Prairie Pine Court home plan for himself. This home design also just happened to be Dan Sater’s own personal family home. Mark added his distinct touch to his version of the home as he does to all his homes he builds.

Opting for straight wood entry columns in lieu of the stone based, tapered craftsman columns, gives the home a decidedly more modern feel. Mark’s thoughtful reworking of the kitchen improves on the home’s already open flowing floor plan.
