At The Sater Design Collection, we design our building plans in accordance with the International Residential Code (IRC). Our building plans include plan details, floor plans, typical wall sections, a plumbing location plan, exterior elevations, a roof layout plan, building sections, reflected ceiling plans and an electrical lighting plan. Please keep in mind that all of our plans will need to be taken to a local engineer. It is important for the local engineer to make sure the building plans are in accordance with local building codes and your specific site conditions. It is also important to check with your local building department to see what they require in a house plan for permitting purposes. If you have a builder in mind, it would be great to check with them as well about building plan requirements. For a more detailed explanation, please take a look at What’s in a Set of Plans.
