Product Description

A charming cottage, the Santa Rosa house plan evokes a bygone era with fresh white shutters and periwinkle blue siding. It features the best modern conveniences in an impressive floor plan. The Santa Rosa home’s vibrant interior emphasizes a central fireplace, and high ceilings that rise to an open balcony. A wall of windows illuminates the living areas with views.

Typical of Southern architecture, the Santa Rosa coastal cottage is designed for a tropical climate with its many doors and windows. Nearly every room of the Santa Rosa plan has either outdoor views or porch access. Taking center stage, the comfortable and open great room expands into the adjoining kitchen and dining areas. This is defined by decorative columns. A vaulted ceiling visually enlarges this space. The gourmet kitchen, designed for a chef, is equipped for effortless food preparation. A square archway frames the sitting area beyond the dining room. The sitting room has a covered porch that the owners enclosed.

The entire left wing of the Santa Rosa plan contains two large guest rooms, each with a private balcony. Located on the upper level, the master suite enjoys privacy. A spacious bath, walk-in closet and access to a private covered porch is perfect for this Santa Rosa plan. Those who prefer a spacious master suite set apart from the rest of the home will love this arrangement. The gallery oversees the main living areas and has access to a front balcony. A large walk-in closet and fashionable tray ceiling round out the suite. French doors open to an intimate porch where beautiful sunsets can be captured. This cozy retreat also pampers the owners with a lush private bath with individual vanities, a walk-in shower and a relaxing whirlpool soaking tub.

This house plan has 1978 square feet of living area and offers an island basement foundation.

We built this house in 2004. I love it so much, that I am rebuilding it again. Our first house we added a laundry above the kitchen and a sun room off the dining room and finished the downstairs off with a media room and a full bath and guest room as well as a two car garage. This time I think we will add and office/gym and media room over the kitchen dining area since there is so much space up there. We also took the wasted side balcony from the front guest room and made a jack and jill bath. The hall bath became a 1/2 bath/powder room for guests. The small eating area in the kitchen became a large pantry. There are three Santa Rosa designs in our community of 8 Sater designs. Our house is by far the envy of all. It is a spectacular house on a very small footprint. Perfect plan even better with the upgrades. LOOOVE IT!!!!
