Description

The New American Home™ 2008 fuses a traditional Antebellum Styled Home Plan with state-of-the-art technology. The house plan has 6725 square feet of living area and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. A spacious and amenity-rich master suite serves the owners, while a first-level family suite is perfect for elderly parents. An elegant study, flexible clubroom with a wet bar, craft room and family valet are just a few of the functional amenities found in Camellia Manor.

The twenty-fifth anniversary of The New American Home™, the model home of the International Builders’ Show, was commemorated with a traditional Plantation style fused with the latest in residential design, décor and building technologies, including an emphasis on sustainability and green building practices. The home was designed specifically with an established family in mind. A spacious and amenity-rich master suite serves the owners, while a first-level family suite is perfect for elderly parents. Two complete guest suites on the second floor create private retreats for visiting friends or children.

The formal core of the home hosts a magnificent living room with a two-story, lake-view bowed wall of glass as well as a breath-taking two-story fireplace. The adjacent formal dining room resides under a unique ceiling treatment, framed in wooden columns and arches. The under-stair wine cellar and a nearby butler’s pantry, as well as a spacious gourmet kitchen, facilitate service of formal meals. The kitchen boasts two islands, an eating bar and an open arrangement with the dining nook and the leisure room. The entire space is light-filled and opens to the outdoor  living area through retreating walls of glass. The view-oriented outdoor living space contains a full outdoor kitchen, dining area and a living room, complete with fireplace.

The plan is designed with a slab/stem wall foundation.
