Plan of the week: Craftsman Style

The Craftsman style is based on an open floor plan design using the natural materials and flow demanded by the site and environment in which it is built. The Prairie Pine Court home plan is the perfect example of a modern version of craftsman style design. The Prairie Pine Court has a large covered front porch with ample room for rocking chairs or chaise gliders. This is a great spot to relax with a cold lemonade or a hot cup of coffee.

Open Concept Interior:

The open foyer of this craftsman style home plan leads directly into the great room and gourmet kitchen. To the left is the dining room or parlor and to the right is the study. The kitchen of the Prairie Pine Court home plan is designed with a large center island overlooking the great room. With plenty of cabinets and a walk in pantry, there is enough space for china, crystal, and all of those special dishes. You can even tuck away those small appliances to keep them off the counter top. The great room is designed with a beamed ceiling and French doors that open out to the rear porch and patio.

The master suite is located on the right wing of the Prairie Pine Court home plan. The master bedroom has a lovely tray ceiling. There are two large his and hers closets and the master bathroom has double vanities and a large walk in shower.

Rear Veranda:

There are two guest suites to the left of this beautiful Craftsman Style plan, each with a private full bath and walk in closet. The utility room has a large walk in closet, washer and dryer, and folding station. The mud room opens to a large four bay garage, and additional storage space. The spacious rear veranda and patio area are perfect for outdoor entertaining for friends or family.
